FAQs

What is the value of having a coach?

Take the guess work out of your training. Save time and don't worry about what workouts you should do tomorrow, or what is the best way to prep for your next event or fitness goal. Having someone that is a third party guiding you towards your goal, allows you to follow the plan and execute. Plus you have someone to lean on and hold you accountable in tough times that wants nothing more than for you to reach your goals and succeed.

What is your training philosophy?

I believe in quality over quantity, progress over perfection, and consistency over time is what gets results. What that means to you and your goals, is where we start and build your personalized program to fit your needs.

What is your nutritional philosophy?

80% consistency will get you 100% results. Unless your goals include Peak Professional Performance or aesthetic / physique goals, you have some wiggle room in your nutrition. I believe in teaching individuals to make better choices, but still enjoy their lives. This will vary from person to person as your specific nutrition needs vary. I do not prescribe a one size fits all approach.

Do you work with new athletes?

ABSOLUTELY! I love coaching and teaching new athletes the skills to be healthy, successful, and happy. If you have goals and ambitions to pursue something new, I'm here for you!

Do you work with elite / high level athletes?

Whatever your goal is, I will help you pursue it. As a professional athlete myself, I know what it takes to get to the next level and pursue something only a few people can! I've coached top level athletes in track and field, Spartan Racing, triathlon, and more.

How do I get started with you as a coach?

After you fill out the contact form, we will schedule a call via phone or zoom. We will talk about your goals, scheduling commitments, previous training history, and any injury history. Once that has been discussed, a personalized program will be put together.

How will my personal program be delivered to me?

Once we have had our initial consultation, your individual program will be created on Training Peaks. This is a free App and Desktop accessible platform where all your workouts from endurance training to strength training with videos will be provided.

What types of home fitness equipment do you recommend?

If you don't have a gym membership and are looking to build strength and power from home, only a few key pieces of equipment are necessary. Adjustable dumbbells, bands, and a stability ball. Anything more is the icing on top!
